Parenting can be very difficult, time-consuming, and challenging, no matter who you are. Different people react differently to the responsibilities of parenting and sometimes, we all need a little help and support.
It is easy for a parent of any background to become overwhelmed and if you are feeling like speaking with a mental health professional might be helpful, seek help. At times, being apparent can feel isolating, helpless, and hopeless. It does not always occur to a parent to seek out mental health assistance because parent therapy is not something that is oftentimes discussed when we talk about mental health. That said, it can’t be emphasized enough to never be afraid of seeking help. There’s no need to feel ashamed, embarrassed, or worried.
